One Response to “I Thought the Flu Season Was Over?”
The current flu vaccine is not active against the swine flu. One could be developed for the swine flu, but that would take time. Right now 2 of the current meds for the flu, Tamiflu and Relenza, are active against it. The concern I have is that if there is a run on the medicines, there will not be enough to go around. Our medical system needs to be careful and not allow everyone to get these meds unless there is a real need for it. If everyone calls up their family doctor to get a dose “in case”, then if and when its needed, it will be in short supply
